Social Security Divorced Spouse Benefits: If you have never worked you may still be eligible for benefits based on your ex-spouse's work record. The rules regarding eligibility change over time but, generally, you qualify if: you marriage was 10 years or longer, you are unmarried, your ex-spouse is 62 or older, and your ex-spouse is entitled to Social Security retirement or disability benefits. If you would like to apply, you should look for Form SSA-2.
It's always best to go to the Social Security website The United States Social Security Administration (ssa.gov) however, the following AARP article provides a good overview of this topic:

Before the Divorce is Final: Alimony is another way of describing spousal support -- this is money that one spouse pays to the other with the goal of maintaining the standard of living that was established during your marriage. Because there is no specific formula for alimony, our courts will consider the following: how long you were married, the reason(s) for the legal separation/divorce, the age and health of each spouse, the education of each spouse, and the amount and sources of income for each of you including your earning potential if you are under-employed.
After the Divorce/Post-Judgment Modification: If your divorce has been finalized your ability to modify alimony will depend on the language of the agreement. For example, if your agreement uses the phrase "non-modifiable," all or part of the alimony terms (how long and/or how much) may not be open to modification.

Case Look Up: This link allows you to look up a family, civil, criminal, or housing case. So long as you know the name of the person or, at least, their first initial and last name, you should be able to find the case you are looking for.

Forms: If you are just starting the process, I think it's a good idea to take a look at the forms on the Judicial Website because it will give you an idea of the types of information you will need to know to help your lawyer get your case filed and keep the Court and the other side updated throughout the process.

Want to know who owns property? Most towns are part of the Connecticut Assessor’s Online Database (Vision Appraisal).

To find out car registration, property taxes, etc. go to a specific town website and search by the potential owner's name. This is helpful to do when you are preparing a financial affidavit or want to know what your annual taxes are. Sample Google search: how to pay property taxes online in [name of your town] Connecticut
